Well, it’s finally happened. The day has come. After a lot of blood and guts our first full-length album, We Own These Monkey Bars, has been finished and is available on iTunes and Amazon. That also means you can now stream a preview for each song on the entire album, one more step further than our last post where we posted 3 or 4 of the songs in full, or offered a free download of the first single. Which is like, ya know, totally cool… dude.

This release had a lot of help and we made some really rad friends along the way, thanks to everyone who showed their support. We’d be nothing without your kindness. We hope you like it.

Listen to the live performance recorded in Muncie, IN for Indiana Public Radio. It was featured on The Scene and recorded at Be Here Now in July 2011. Mostly rough cuts from the upcoming freshman full length, We Own These Monkey Bars. We were lucky enough to share the show with another incredibly bad ass group of fellas; first half is Strictly, the second half is Th’Empires.

After almost 2,000 miles of road behind us and a conservative estimate of 34 hours in our cars we’re back from the east coast! We’re so fortunate to have met a lot of amazing people and played with some incredible bands. We feel so lucky to have had such a safe return to Indiana and we are all itching to do this again as soon as possible.

Thanks to all the supporting fans and super rad cats who let us sleep on their floors, trampolines, and spare apartments. Thanks to those of you who came to our shows and for the enthusiasm during and after. Thank you for buying stuff from us even if it was only because we were pretty much starving and had no gasoline. And thank you to Philadelphia for creating such an incredible creation, the Philly Cheese Steak.

We learned a lot of great things this tour about the road, people, and ourselves. Some of the more interesting adventures pertained to werewolf drinking, ghost foam, drunk sleep walking, new jersey coffee, kentucky truck stops, the beautiful pennsylvania hills, blood-sucking toll roads, and muggings behind the venue.

Most of all though, we are all so grateful to have had such a stellar drummer filling in for us on this tour, Anthony. We all owe Anthony a lot to for the adventure and so many good laughs along the way. Keep crushin’ them crackers, braaaah.
